ROUNDERS: Seniors vs St. Peter's

Score: Won 30.5-22.5

Player of the Match: Jen Foster (LVI)

Playing all-out timed innings, the girls started fielding well, getting 5 St Peter's girls out andkeeping their score low in the 15-minute inning.

Then came our turn to bat; with some incredible hits from multiple girls, we soon racked up the rounders taking a solid lead into the second innings. The team continued on top form in the second innings, taking the win 30.5 rounders to 22.5 rounders.
Well done!!

Horse Riding Success at Belsay for Freya

Freya's mother has been in touch to tell us about Freya (Year IV) and her brilliant win last week at Belsay Horse Trials!

We arrived on Thursday afternoon at the under-18s pre-competition camp at Park End Equestrian Training Centre in Northumberland.

It is a lovely setting with amazing facilities for the riders to train, with coaches in dressage, show jumping and cross country, before the big competition over the weekend at Belsay International Horse Trials where they were competing in the U18s Open 90 class. We had a fun couple of days before the competition meeting new friends and preparing the ponies for the competition on Sunday.

Freya and Abi started with a very good dressage score of 27.3 which left them in 2nd place. The show jumping was in the International Arena which was surrounded by stands and tents and crowds of people watching. The atmosphere was buzzing but it didn’t distract them and they got a clear round.

Abi danced out of the arena very excited for the next stage which she knew was cross country. Belsay is known for building big tracks and, coupled with the uphill undulating ground, this always proves to be challenging. Abi and Freya were phenomenal - despite the nerves, they came home clear and inside the time, taking the win.

A wonderful way to spend half term.

Emilia's Aquathlon Success

Freya (Year I) told us about her recent Aquathlon success:

I took part in the Leeds and Bradford Aquathlon yesterday. It was part of the Yorkshire Triathlon Series, so it is one of the three qualifying events for the National Championships. I was really pleased to win my race :-)

I have attached a few photos from it and also the results! The link to the results can also be found here (I’m in TS2 age) - https://my.raceresult.com/247267/results

My next qualifying race is this Saturday in Richmond and I then have a swim gala on Sunday too.
