Bespoke and tailored support for students

Oxbridge Programme

We encourage all our girls, particularly at Sixth Form level, to undertake independent learning. This is a valuable skill for life and one that is further developed and encouraged for the potential Oxbridge candidate.

LVI girls who have been identified as potential Oxbridge candidates are encouraged to attend the annual Oxbridge Conference. Here experienced admissions staff, subject specialists and current students from the universities of Oxford and Cambridge are on hand to provide an insight into what it is like to live and study at these prestigious higher educational establishments.

Girls are mentored, given advice and support to help them stand out from the crowd through entering competitions, doing additional study outside the classroom, wider reading and taking advantage of extra-curricular opportunities such as EPQs.

We support girls with all aspects of the application process. Examinations are taken in November and mock interviews are arranged. We challenge our students to think out of the box, demonstrate passion for their chosen subject and demonstrate creativity through their personal statement.

I can't thank everyone at QM enough for supporting me every step of the way. Through their belief in me, a lot of encouragement and of course hard work, I successfully secured a place at Oxford.
