Introducing Prep VI at QM

QM is perfectly positioned to empower girls and give them the self-belief they need to thrive. Our girls-only approach creates the optimum conditions for nurturing, challenging and inspiring girls in a safe environment. Our size enables many more opportunities for interaction in the classroom, and corresponding levels of encouragement from teachers. We are therefore delighted to bring a QM education to even more girls from September 2025 as we introduce Prep VI; the ideal stepping stone to our senior school. Read our news article here.

Prep School in York for Day Students aged 10-11

Building on QM’s established reputation for excellence in educating girls aged 11-18, the launch of Prep VI at QM aligns seamlessly with the values and ethos already deeply embedded at the school. Prep VI will provide the same value to girls aged 10-11 through:

• An all-girls, small environment where self-belief thrives
• An all-round curriculum programme with a focus on core skills in English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies, combined with particular specialisms in Sports, and the Creative and Performing Arts
• Access to QM’s full range of exceptional facilities
• Nurturing, caring support systems which allow every girl to flourish
• Wraparound provision from 08:00 - 18:30, Monday - Friday with three meals a day and snacks included.
