Lacrosse Success for Elsa
"During Easter, I will be playing for the Scotland U20 Lacrosse Team at the upcoming Home Internationals where we will be playing England and Wales!
I will be travelling down to Nottingham for 3 days along with the rest of my team and my family.
This will be my second year at the tournament following last year's Home Internationals in Edinburgh and after another year of training with the team plus lots of side matches throughout the season.
I am very much looking forward to it!"

NETBALL: Group fixtures vs Scarborough
U12 vs Scarborough
Score: 14-8 Loss
Player of the Match: Akosua (I)
U12s had a rocky start against Scarborough but held their own, finishing the first quarter 3-2 to Scarborough.
The girls played much more calmly in the second quarter, but Scarborough still managed to keep their advantage despite the defence working really hard and intercepting lots of passes. The 3rd quarter was where QM really came into their own and managed to bring the score back to 8-9, putting lots of pressure on the final quarter.
As things became more intense the QM team held strong. Unfortunately, no goals were scored by the attacking 2, leaving the final score as 14-8 to Scarborough. Well done to Polly, Louise and Evie who all scored, and well done to Akosua for a well-deserved Player of the Match.
U12/13 vs Scarborough
Score: 10-4 Loss
Player of the Match: Sautu (II)
The team was raring to go in the rain with a good mixture of Year Is and IIs. The team managed to hold Scarborough off to a 1-0 lead in the first quarter, with some girls playing some brand-new positions.
Some lovely linking through the midfield meant QM managed to get 3 goals in the 2nd quarter but Scarborough managed to get 5 keeping the pressure on. Another mix around of positions set the girls up for the 3rd quarter in good spirits, taking the score to 4-7 Scarborough.
QM kept the pressure on in the final quarter, but Scarborough managed to sneak a few past our new defence leaving the final score as 10-4. Well done to Immy and Greta who scored, and to Joy with a well-deserved player of the match title.
U13 vs Scarborough
Score: Loss 5-19
Player of the Match:Izzy
U14 vs Scarborough
Score: Win 30-9
Player of the Match:Cesca
U14/15 vs Scarborough
Score: Loss 3-13
Player of the Match: Elena
Most improved: Abigail
A good effort considering some were playing in their first-ever game. We managed to do well in getting out for our centre passes, though we struggled to get the ball into the shooting circle. The combinations of Charlie, Elena and Franzi in circle defence meant Scarborough had to work hard to gain shooting opportunities.
U15 vs Scarborough
Score: Loss 8-22
After half time, we were only trailing 7-6 and it looked set to be a tight second half. However, we lost our way in the third quarter making too many silly errors and giving Scarborough the chance to run away with the game. In the last quarter, we managed a few more goals, but Scarborough's third-quarter lead proved too much for us in the end.
