In our "Spotlight On" series, you can meet members of the QM Family. Here's Paula Edwards, Senior Nurse in the Health and Wellbeing Centre.
What are your main roles at QM?
I am the Senior Nurse in the HWBC - there is a team of three of us now - myself, Joan and Lucy.
What do you like about working at QM?
I like the family feel of the school and enjoy belonging to the community.
Where did you come from before QM?
I have been an A+E nurse and worked in a GP surgery as a Nurse Practitioner. My last role was as the school nurse in an Independent day school in Norwich. I have a degree in Nurse Practitioning.
What are you most proud of?
My children and family.
How do you relax when you are not at QM?
I enjoy playing badminton. I love to travel and enjoy walking my miniature dachshund.
Who would you most like to sit down and have a cup of tea/coffee with?
I would love to have had a coffee with Nelson Mandela.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Just do it – do not overthink it.
What’s your favourite biscuit?
Bourbon.
