UPDATE: 1st April 2022
Thank you to the QM Community for your incredible generosity. The donations drive for Ukraine has been a huge success.
Mrs Davidson, Director of Boarding, tells us more:
"I am delighted and overwhelmed to have received so many donations to support the Ukrainian crisis. The donations filled up one of our minibuses and it is being taken to a drop off point in Sheffield, where it will then be taken to Swindon for processing and distribution by the Barnabas Fund.
Many, many thanks to all of the QM Community for their support of this appeal. A very special thanks to Millie Kinglake, our Deputy Head girl (Charities) who spearheaded this project."
Millie also set up a JustGiving page, which has now surpassed its £2000 goal for donations. A huge well done to Millie and thank you to all who donated.

With the desperate ongoing situation in Ukraine, the QM Family has been showing its support with fundraising activities.
Last week, Millie (UVI Deputy Head Girl - Charities) and the Charity Committee called on the QM Family to donate what they could to support the people of Ukraine.
"The last two weeks have been very difficult for Ukraine. The students at Queen Margaret's would like to show their support by collecting items that have been identified as needed by the refugees. All donations are gratefully received."
The QM Family answered their call with a huge range of donations including clothing, shoes, baby essentials, toiletries, personal care, medical items, food, blankets, essential electricals, and more.
The Committee also organised a non-uniform day for students and staff to raise money. The theme was blue and yellow, and so far the girls have raised an incredible £1,670.

Our dancers took part in Monday's assembly, dressed in blue & yellow to give a presentation about the best posture and centre of gravity. There was some great audience participation and it was a sight to see the whole room trying to stand on one leg.
The Housekeeping Team has also been raising money with donations for blue and yellow ribbons.
