QM Mavericks A vs Millers Lightning
Player of the Match: Maisie (LVI)

Result: Lost 67-34

The last time QM Mavericks A faced Millers Lightning, they secured a win. However, this time, Millers were well-prepared and dominated each quarter to claim victory. A tough match, but the team gave a determined effort throughout.

QM Mavericks B vs Selby Hurricanes
Player of the Match: Ruth

Result: Won 44-24

QM Mavericks B took on local rivals Selby Hurricanes in their final encounter of the season. The B team started strongly with effective attacking play and maintained their momentum until the final whistle. A fantastic win – well done, team!

Wednesday 26 February – Hockey

U14 York & District Area Tournament
Player of the Match: India Tonks (III)

Results:

• 1-0 Loss vs Manor School
• 3-0 Win vs Joseph Rowntree
• 1-1 Draw vs Tadcaster Grammar School
• 0-0 Draw vs Fulford School

In their final hockey fixture of the year, the team enjoyed a great afternoon of matches. Despite some players returning to the pitch for the first time since before Christmas, they quickly regained their form and played with determination. The midfield worked well to move the ball forward, and several players displayed excellent individual skills. Well-executed short corners led to some well-earned goals. Well done to the team, and thank you to the parents who came to support.
