Capturing Creativity: Renowned Photographer Simon Hill Guides QM Girls in A-Level Photography Projects
Queen Margaret's School for Girls is thrilled to once again welcome Simon Hill, President of the Royal Photographic Society, to support our A Level Photography students. Simon's involvement in assisting with the final projects is a remarkable opportunity for our young photographers.
This collaboration holds particular significance as the final projects account for a substantial 60% of the students' overall A Level Photography grade this year. Simon's wealth of experience and keen artistic eye bring a professional perspective, helping to elevate the creative visions of our girls to new heights.
Simon is also giving his own time to offer portfolio review sessions - a truly invaluable experience which will help our young photographers develop their artistic visions.
A Remarkable Opportunity for QM Girls
The collaboration with Simon Hill not only demonstrates the commitment of Queen Margaret's to providing a holistic education but also reflects our dedication to nurturing artistic talent.
Simon has been assisting QM for the past year, running workshops and one-to-one sessions on a multitude of topics including studio lighting and natural light photography, as well as assisting our examination students with their portfolio work.
Simon also assisted our Art Scholars last year on a project entitled 'Recreating Queen Margaret': a wonderful fine art portrayal of Queen Margaret captured with digital photography and printed to exhibit at the Art Department's end-of-year exhibition.
