A collection of information and resources for our local and international partners.
At Queen Margaret’s, we are proud of our global student community. We firmly believe that bringing together bright, inquisitive girls from all over the world supports a vibrant and diverse School culture, whilst our horizontal boarding structure helps girls to forge international friendships that will last a lifetime.
Our external partnerships are a key part of building this community, and we couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for helping us to share what makes QM so special with your parents.
With very best wishes
Davide Calogero Director of External Relations
Your Agency Pack
These downloadable documents are designed to inform you about the pastoral and academic provision we offer, so that in turn you can introduce a new family to QM on our behalf.
All students studying at QM whose parents live overseas must have an Education Guardian. Please ensure that families understand the duties of their Education Guardian before they make their choice, as outlined in our policy below:
We're more than a school. We’re a home from home. A family of learning and belonging. In a truly inspirational setting.
It’s somewhere each and every girl can thrive. Where they’ll be happy and healthy. Grow their knowledge, skills and confidence. And make friends for life.
Somewhere that’s the bedrock for success. Opens up opportunities and possibilities. Inspires them to forge their own future. And gets them ready for life, whatever their calling.
We nurture girls to fulfil their ambitions. To realise their potential. To become the best women they can be. And give them an amazing start in life.
Our remote learning provision, QM Connect, uses a hybrid of live and recorded lessons, alongside daily Prefect Challenges and other online activities, to ensure that students across the world can remain a part of our community during the current lockdown restrictions.
A 75-acre rural campus, only six miles from the historic city of York, offers girls a safe and supportive environment with all the amenities you would expect from being near to a vibrant city. It is also worth mentioning that we have not had a single positive Covid-19 case amongst the students thanks to our secure location and stringent hygiene measures.
As a small school, we can offer girls a truly personal and enriching experience during their time here; from one-on-one Personal Tutor meetings and individual career support, to a vast range of extra-curricular clubs and activities for girls to choose from.
Our partnership with the QM Riding School, whose stables are based on our campus, provides horse riding lessons to all students who wish to sign up either with their own horse or with a horse liveried at the stable.
Keep in Touch
Whilst circumstances may restrict the opportunity for travel at the moment, we are only a Zoom call away and would be more than happy to take you and your colleagues for a virtual tour of the School. We also circulate an Agent Update every Friday with a preview into what has been going on in class that week, along with any news that would be relevant to you as a partner of QM.
If you have any questions about any of the above, or would like to register a new enquiry, you can always reach us at the following:
Pupils’ knowledge, skills and understanding across all areas of learning are excellent. Teachers have high expectations and strong subject knowledge, and they use this expertise effectively to help pupils improve their work.
