Introducing Jonathan Forster, Queen Margaret's Board of Governors

Jonathan Forster

Queen Margaret's Board of Governors. (Education Committee).

Jonathan was educated at Malsis School and Shrewsbury and then took a degree in English Language and Literature at the University of Leeds before qualifying as a teacher. After holding a number of teaching and pastoral roles (including Housemaster of a girls house), Jonathan was appointed Principal of Moreton Hall School in 1992 and held that post until his retirement in 2019. Jonathan has been a governor of both independent and state schools and a schools’ inspector. Since retirement to the Cotswolds Jonathan has continued his interest in education as a self employed educational consultant working on projects with UK and overseas schools. Jonathan is married to a teacher and they have two daughters. Education is his passion.

Pupils’ knowledge, skills and understanding across all areas of learning are excellent. Teachers have high expectations and strong subject knowledge, and they use this expertise effectively to help pupils improve their work.
