The West End Comes to QM
Join us for a fantastic evening as girls from Years I – LVI take on some of the most popular yet challenging songs and acting pieces that have graced the West End stage and Hollywood. Songs from Wicked, Les Misérables, Matilda and more will be teamed with a selection of scenes including excerpts by Harold Pinter and Monty Python.
Blood, Sweat and Tiaras is an eclectic anthology that highlights the abundance of accomplished and developing talent being nurtured and encouraged here at QM. The style of the evening is more of a cabaret to give our young performers their chance to shine as a straight actor, comedy actor or singer.
Nick Lewis, Director of Theatre at Queen Margaret’s, has been extremely impressed with rehearsals so far:
“I am incredibly proud of the work these young performers have put into making these songs and scenes their own. I hope Blood, Sweat and Tiaras will be full of surprise performances and a chance to see just what our young actors are capable of and how they are developing their performance experience, technical skills and confidence.”
Performances will take place in The Chapman Theatre on:
Thursday 15 June, 19:00
Friday 16 June, 19:00
