Top Marks for QM Girls

Malton girl, Anna Barker exceeded all expectations, performing exceptionally well in today’s GCSE results. Coming out with 10 fantastic GCSEs, eight of which secured the coveted grade 9 and a further GCSE in History achieved A*, it is certainly a day for jubilant, much deserved celebration!

Queen Margaret’s Head, Jessica Miles commented on this remarkable achievement, “Anna is an all-rounder, a motivated and talented individual who has taken full advantage of QM’s holistic offer. She is an enthusiastic and grounded girl and through her diligent and tenacious approach to work she has consistently been a high achiever.

“Anna balances busy extracurricular life, having been a Sports scholar since Year III and a keen Hockey and Netball player in both the county and regional squads.  Anna will be studying Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Spanish in the LVI and I have no doubt that she will continue to attain highly at A Level and beyond. ”

Other remarkable successes with a string of top grades are York girl Liberty Sinclair and Spanish girl Maria Mateo Jalon. Liberty is an accomplished artist and keen sportswoman, representing Queen Margaret’s in Hockey and Lacrosse.

Despite English not being her first language, Spanish boarder Maria took full advantage of everything QM has to offer and made a great effort to enjoy and learn new skills, whilst excelling as a keen dancer and enthusiastically representing Queen Margaret’s in Sports.
