BSA Boarding Skills Award
Our Years I and II boarders are busy putting together their portfolios for the BSA Boarding Skills Award Basic Level. This involves a fun and interesting set of challenges to help the girls learn more about themselves, the people around them and the wider world outside the gates of QM. So far the girls have created ‘Dorm Rules’ posters, interviewed an overseas student, and kept a photographic diary for a week showing how they keep their dorms tidy, to name but a few of the various tasks involved.
The girls are exploring using different methods of presenting their evidence and are exhibiting some real creativity as they work through the five different modules. Coming up soon is a challenge all about doing their own laundry, folding and sorting…music to the ears of the housestaff no doubt!
