Higher Sports Leadership
Carrying valuable UCAS points, the Level 3 Certificate in Higher Sports Leadership is a nationally recognised qualification that enables you to lead unsupervised groups of people in sport and recreational activities.
Students develop teamworking, decision making and leadership skills. Available in Key Stage 5, the course comprises four compulsory units including developing leadership skills; planning leading and evaluating a sport/physical activity or event; leading safe sport/physical activity sessions and planning, leading and evaluating sport/physical activity sessions for children.
Added to this are three optional units - students choose from; planning, leading and evaluating sport/physical activity sessions in the community; planning, leading and evaluating sport/physical activity sessions for disabled people and planning, leading and evaluating sport/physical activity sessions for older people.
