School Houses

Mix with girls in different year groups and get to know one another. QM's vertical Houses are the focus for a number of School events and provide an opportunity for some fun and friendly competition.

When you join QM you are assigned to one of six vertical Houses – Duncan, Garry, Pitlochry, QM Hall, School House or St Aidan’s. The vertical Houses provide the perfect opportunity for girls in different year groups to mix and get to know one another, and are the focus for our inter-House competitions.

MasterChef, Fun Song and Sports Day are just a few of the highlights in the School calendar each year. Here students join with others in their House to plan, deliver and execute some wonderful creations – from demonstrating culinary capabilities to choreographing the funkiest dance moves. Everyone plays a part and joins in the fun.

To further cement friendships within the Houses, all girls are encouraged to stay in School after lessons on a Friday evening to participate in House meetings and activities.

I've loved mixing with other year groups through fun and competitive House events. I've made some great friends.
