I hope to study Psychology at university and eventually become a Clinical Psychologist. I am also heavily involved in other areas of the School, especially the Music and Drama departments.
I am fortunate enough to be a Choral Scholar, having sung for most of my life. I was a Chorister in York Minster from a young age and QM has enabled me to continue my journey in Music fully, allowing me to achieve a distinction in my Grade 8 singing examination last spring. I love to get heavily involved in the School productions as musical theatre is a passion of mine. I’ve recently had the opportunity to play the Beast in Beauty and the Beast last winter after being in other School productions such as West Side Story. I’ve loved the community feeling of both the Music and Drama Departments since I joined and would encourage all girls to give everything a go.
I have also had the honour of being a part of the National Council for Young Women. This has enabled me to have a voice in the incredible world of activism, something I hope to continue to be a part of for the rest of my life. I consider myself to be an activist for Women’s rights, environmental issues and LGBTQ+ Rights. Alongside this, both mental and physical wellbeing are incredibly important to me and as in my role I hope to make a positive difference in the school and outer community.
I am so unbelievably honoured to have been given the role of Deputy Head Girl for Wellbeing and hope to make an impact whilst working alongside the superb Prefect Team we have. I’m incredibly excited for the coming year.
