Swimming v The Mount
Score: U13 lost 30-38, U15 drew 34-34, Seniors won 38-30.
Wow! What an incredible match. The noise level and support in the swimming pool this evening were phenomenal.
In a very close match, the scores were tied at the end of the individual races, so the result came down to the final cannon relay. This is a QM tradition now, where a mixed-age group team swims in any order.
A huge congratulations to those swimmers who stepped in at the last minute, and to UVI girls Oliva and Nayama who competed in their final swimming match for the school.
The Mount won the final cannon relay (just) and won overall. Well done to all the swimmers and a huge thank you to all of the supporters. I hope your voice and ears have recovered!

TENNIS: U15 A v Bootham
Score: Won 5-1
Our U15 A team competed in the LTA Youth Schools tennis league, starting with a match vs Bootham away. The team of Year III girls Francesca, Celia, Isabel and Poppy had to play in a game of singles as well as doubles. Some excellent play was enjoyed by Mrs Mitchell and their supporters - well done on a 5-1 win
TENNIS: U18 National Championships vs St Peter's
Score: Loss 5-1
As the team had qualified for the next round of the LTA schools competition, the draw saw us travel to St Peter's for this last round before the final stages.
The team of Lauren, Bonnie, Elsa and Olivia took to the tennis courts to find that the heavens opened and it poured down. The conditions were quite awful, however, the players carried on regardless to complete the match.
In the singles, there was a lot of very patient play including drop shots, slices, and volleys to finish the rallies. The matches were so close that it was difficult to keep the scores on all the courts whilst play was in progress. It was a 5-1 loss overall, though most sets had very fine margins at 6-4 or 6-3. All players represented the school with pride and were a real credit to us. Well done!
