Stay in for Leave Out January 2025

SIFLO was hit with bad weather again this weekend, but we didn’t let this stop us. On Friday night, we started with a laser tag competition, with the Red team coming out victorious. On Saturday, we split into teams and prepared for the wizard-themed bake-off. Each team was given the task to bake a Harry Potter-themed sweet treat. Throughout the bake-off, there were a few twists where each team could cast spells on opposing teams, which added to the fun. We were left with four great bakes, which were very difficult to judge. The winning bake was the Book of Monsters, who made a great-tasting sponge.

Saturday night, we all went to the Sangthai for a delicious supper before an early night, ready for the very early wake-up on Sunday. We set off at 6:30 for Oxford. Unfortunately, due to a second weather warning for rain, plans were quickly changed. We got to enjoy indoor escape rooms, university tours, and a spot of shopping before having supper, desserts, and an early-ish night at the hotel.

On Monday, we got to enjoy a full breakfast before getting back on the coach to head to Harry Potter Studios. This was certainly the highlight of the trip for us all. With a magical mischief theme, there was plenty to look at and learn. We then had a long coach journey back to school, where we were certainly all very exhausted.
