Tennis U13 B v Scarborough College
Score: Won 4-3
Our first LTA Youth Schools U13B tennis match was against Scarborough College where we played a set of singles and doubles in a four-player team. Akosua (Year II), Polly (Year II), Bronte (Year II), Lydia (Year II) took to the courts, and after the first round were 2-1 up.
In the second round with some scores at 6-4, it was a draw at 3-3. This meant we had to have a result with a tiebreak shootout to 10 points by two players - Akosua and Bronte - who won 10-5 and the match 4-3. Throughout the games, our players grew in confidence and it was great to see them playing, scoring, and calling the ball in and out.
Tennis U15 B v Scarborough College
Score: Lost 4-2
The team of Amelie (Year IV), Freya (Year IV), Isabel R (Year IV), and Isabella (Year IV) played in the LTA Youth Schools U15B at school on Thursday. All players worked very hard in their singles matches, and after the first round, we were 2-2 with the doubles to play. The team lost 4-2 but the experience and development seen with their play will be built on in their next matches. Well played all.
