As the winter term came to a close, on Saturday 9th December 9th, 42 enthusiastic QM girls, accompanied by four (equally excited!) QM staff members, embarked on a remarkable ski trip to Bormio, Italy.
Nestled in the breathtaking landscape and set to host a segment of the Winter Olympics in 2026, Bormio proved to be an ideal backdrop for our group of girls with varying ski abilities spanning across all year groups. Whether beginners or seasoned skiers, every student found their place and developed their skills in this picturesque resort.
With fantastic snow conditions and radiant weather, our girls delved into five hours of daily ski lessons spanning the six-day trip. Beginners honed their skiing skills diligently and made impressive progress by the week's end. Simultaneously, the more proficient skiers relished the opportunity to explore the majestic mountains under the guidance of their instructors.
A massive 'thank you' to the trip organisers - Miss Kilburn, Miss Hagan, Mrs Burton, and Miss Porritt - for orchestrating this incredible journey and accompanying the girls throughout.
Undoubtedly, this experience will be etched in their memories for years to come.
