Introducing the Deputy Head Girl (Inclusion) Kelly Lau

Deputy Head Girl

Through my role, I hope to support girls, especially international students, and organise more activities to celebrate festivals from different cultures.

My name is Kelly, and I come from Hong Kong. I joined QM as a full boarder in Year 3. I am delighted to be part of the QM family and proud to be the Deputy Head of Inclusion.

I am currently studying Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics for A Level, which has allowed me to learn more about the medical side of science, and I hope to study medicine at university. One of my favourite aspects of QM is having the tutor meeting once per week, which I find very helpful whenever I get stuck. At the same time, the teachers at QM are very supportive and motivate me to do my best.

I am also proud to be the Chair of the International Council, which allows me to talk to girls from different years and nationalities. It gave me the opportunity to organise events with different people, from which I gained valuable experience.

Through my role, I hope to support girls, especially international students, and organise more activities to celebrate festivals from different cultures, so that girls can feel at home when they are at QM.
