At the heart of a Queen Margaret’s education is a love of learning which is supported by a healthy body and a healthy mind. Girls enjoy well balanced, varied and above all delicious food that was recently named the ‘Best School Food in the UK’ (Tatler Awards).

All dietary requirements are catered for whether vegetarian, vegan or gluten free.

Varied, nutritious, well balanced and above all delicious, QM Catering offers a wide choice of food to suit all tastes.

In addition to providing breakfast, lunch and dinner on a daily basis, the kitchens also provide staples for the boarding houses, including bread, cereal, fruit, milk, tea, coffee and biscuits. Catering also provide packed lunches for school trips, hot and cold buffets for conferences and meetings, canapés and silver service for special occasions.

Meals are usually taken in the school’s dining room which seats up to one hundred and fifty. The light, airy room is the perfect place to relax and enjoy good food. Service at the two serveries is slick and professional ensuring that queues are kept to a minimum.

School menus rotate on a tri-weekly basis and are created with input from staff and students via the School Council. As well as catering for vegetarians, QM’s kitchens can provide varied and balanced choices for a number of other special dietary requirements including, but not limited to, coeliac, lactose intolerant and low cholesterol.
