Leeds Rhinos Netball Weekender
Netball Tour 2024

Last weekend, a group of girls from Years I-IV embarked on the Leeds Rhinos Netball Weekender at Butlins Skegness. They had a fantastic time with competitive netball, fun activities, and entertainment keeping them busy all weekend.
Evie (Year III) told us more:
On Friday, we got to Butlin’s and went straight to the water park, which had cool slides and rapids which were a lot of fun. Afterwards, we ate and went to a disco, followed by karaoke in which we sang 'Party in the USA' while Lydia and Polly did an amazing rendition of 'Into the Unkown.'
We then went to the park, got pizza and had fun in the sweet shop, where everyone got blue or burning tongues from lollipops and Toxic Wastes.
On Saturday, we got up early and headed off to our first matches. We played four on Saturday - Evie G, Evie H, Polly and Emilia were each awarded Players of the Match. We all wore vibrant tie-die tops which got a few comments on.
We went to M&S for lunch and headed to the beach for a picnic where some Year IIs had fun in the sea. Afterwards, we went to another park and ate dinner which everyone enjoyed. We then went to the fair and enjoyed some rides. We went back to the disco whilst gossiping about celeb crushes.
On the last day, we got up late and headed straight to M&S for lunch. In our first match, Evie H was awarded Player of the Match after some amazing interspersions. After the second match, which we performed really well in, Heidi was awarded Player of the Match.
Then we went back to our hotel and went to the fairground which sadly got interrupted by Miss Hagen and her toy seagull (which she got emotionally attached to). We finished the weekend with a netball presentation where we received our medals and a trophy and had a team photo.
