QM Mavericks A v Northern Mayhem
Score: Won 47-33
Player of the Match: Mrs Rastall
Mavericks A seemed to have mirrored the B team's slow start - going down 16-8 after the first quarter. But after a couple of changes, the As soon found their rhythm and capitalised on the turnovers, trailing by just 3 goals at halftime. The third quarter is the Mavericks' Achilles heel, so all knew it was going to be tense. However, it turned out to be the team's highest-scoring quarter giving them a small lead before going into the final quarter. With both teams feeling the pressure to keep possession and score, the As kept their composure and battled hard to seal the win. Fab game!

QM Mavericks B v Selby 1
Player of the Match: Mrs Wilson
With some of the squad unavailable, Mavericks B only just managed to get a team for this fixture. True to form, we started shakily, losing quite a few centre passes. With Miss Kilburn picking up an injury before the end of the first quarter, Selby pulled ahead with a big lead. Despite losing our 7th player, we played well and gave Selby a good contest. Looking forward to the rematch when we have our full squad!
