My name is Lulu, and it is nothing short of a privilege to undertake the role of Deputy Head Girl (Wellbeing) for the duration of this academic year.
I joined QM halfway through LVI, and while the length of my journey has been significantly shorter than most, it has in no way prevented me from becoming fully immersed in every opportunity that has come my way. QM has helped me flourish academically, in what I love to do, and as a person—and for that, I am extremely grateful and proud to be part of such a vibrant community.
I am currently studying Drama and Theatre Studies, Economics, and English Literature. Moreover, I am particularly delighted to be Head Chorister of this year's Chapel Choir. After QM, I plan to follow my dream and pursue a career in acting or musical theatre. The teachers at QM have worked tirelessly to nurture and develop the skill set I brought to the table, leaving me feeling fully equipped and prepared as I approach the industry.
As Deputy Head Girl (Wellbeing), my primary goal is to enhance and promote general wellbeing at QM. I have an intense drive to make an impact, meaning I am always working towards achieving a more content and inspired community. I will always do my best and often use creativity to help me reach my goals. It is crucial for the girls to understand just how important wellbeing is and how it should always be prioritised. I, for one, am fully conscious of how daunting it can feel to join a new school. Therefore, in my role, I also hope to assist new pupils in every way possible as they begin their journey at QM.
QM is a safe environment where pupils can prosper in being their authentic selves. Individuality and diversity are celebrated and encouraged, and there is a vast multitude of enrichment activities on offer to suit everyone. However, my favourite element of school life has to be the appreciation of the arts at QM. The sheer dedication and time that is embedded into them is what really inspires and motivates me.
I am honoured to be part of the heads team this year, as it allows me to promote the student voice and ensure it is heard while I work alongside such an inspiring and ambitious group of individuals who are committed to making a positive difference.
