Leave Out (Exeat) weekends provide the opportunity for students to have a couple of uninterrupted days back at home with their families.
For those who stay at school during these weekends, the QM SIFLO (Stay In For Leave Out) programme offers an action-packed programme of activities for students.
Malea (Year V) told us about this SIFLO weekend just past...
"This SIFLO was my favourite! We had a relaxing Friday, some of us went to York or the Designer Outlet and we could go to Tesco if we wanted to. Afterwards, we had some Indian curry and went Bowling.
The Saturday was relaxing as well, starting the morning with a delicious brunch made by the house staff, then years I-III (and anyone else who wanted to) baked. I personally stole Miss Bale’s brownie recipe - best idea ever! That evening we had some lovely pizza in the Social Club.
On Sunday we went to Birmingham and did some high ropes, archery and an escape room at the Bear Grylls Adventure Park. My personal favourite was the archery. That evening we went to an all-you-can-eat restaurant, then had a relaxing night's sleep in the hotel.
On our last day, we had some time to do some shopping in Birmingham, and if you aren’t the biggest fan of shopping, like me, or you wanted to, you could go play some mini golf. Afterwards we got back on the mini busses and if you were on Miss Bale’s mini bus then you got a lovely little (whole ride long) concert from Miss Bale and Miss Turner.
Thank you to all the staff who made the weekend so great."
