Getting Ready for Sixth Form

This week we have been introducing our Year V students and their parents to the QM Sixth Form. We've seen parent meetings, presentations, and lots of recent student engagement between LVI and Year V.
Parent Meetings
Meetings (both in-person and virtual) gave parents the opportunity to learn about the 30 different subjects on offer in Sixth Form, as well as our outstanding A Level results, the Extended Project Qualification, personalised support, university placements, independent living in the final year, personal tutors, and the many enrichment and leadership opportunities available.
Live Presentation & Conference
We also gave a talk today - "Options & Life in the Sixth Form" - presented by Head Sue Baillie, Senior Key Stage 4 Tutor Mary Griffin, Senior Key Stage 5 Tutor Claire Nadin, and Director of Academic Administration David Free.

Student Engagement
Over the next three weeks, Lower Sixth students have and will be welcoming girls from Year V to the Cloisters common room for breakfast coffee and pastries, and to share their experiences of Sixth Form.
In a teacher-free zone, they will be able to have open and honest talks about life in the QM Sixth Form, including what they love and what challenges they face.
