Guy Fawkes Drama Trip

On Thursday, the GCSE & A Level Drama students and Drama Scholars all went to visit The York Theatre Royal to watch Guy Fawkes.

The play was absolutely amazing and had all of us laughing out loud throughout. As you could probably guess, the story was a retelling of the infamous gunpowder plot with some added details here and there, which may not have been quite historically accurate.

The show was incredible in balancing the comedic side with the story’s notoriously tragic ending, even though playing firework by Katy Perry at the end took us all a bit off guard.

But after the curtain dropped, none of us could stop fawning over the show for the entire journey back to school. I think we’d all like to thank the whole Drama Department for making it such an enjoyable trip!
