Internal Exams and GCSEs

Well done Year IV/LVI. Good luck Year V.

Year IV and LVI internal exams

This week has been a continuation of exam season at QM.

"Tomorrow marks the end of a busy week for the LVI and Year IV who have been completing internal exams. With all the disruption from Covid, it has proved a useful week in allowing the girls to experience a formal exam-style setting which will prepare them for their Mocks and final exams next year.

Although the girls have understandably been nervous, they have conducted themselves brilliantly - well done Year IV and LVI.

We hope they will all have a well deserved rest this weekend."

Upcoming GCSEs

After lots of hard work over the past two academic years, the Year V cohort of girls are now beginning their study leave for the GCSE examinations.

On Monday 2nd May, they all came together in a Year Group Assembly in which the girls were thanked by individual staff members for all they'd achieved over the past two years and there was a video montage of their year.

There was a final farewell to the girls in this week's assembly, featuring two musical performances from students.

"I have been so impressed by the students in Year V this year. They have shown grit, determination, maturity, and good humour in everything they do.

They have made my first year as their Head of Key Stage an absolute joy and I couldn't have asked for a more well-rounded, supportive group of students to work with.

As I told them in assembly, their Year V teachers and House staff are going to miss them terribly, but the LVI teams are already getting excited to work with them in September! This cohort is so well-prepared for their GCSE exams and I can't wait to see what they do next; no doubt they will continue to blow us all away."

Good luck girls, we wish you the very best.
