Fundraising for Ukraine
Knit and Crochet for Ukraine
Published 29th April 2022.
Following an idea by Mrs Baillie, staff and students have been busy crocheting and knitting to raise funds to support families suffering in the war in Ukraine.
They have been working in Wenlock library at lunchtimes and also during their free time, creating blue and yellow squares.
Those who did not know how to knit or crochet have also learnt new skills taught by various staff and willing LVI students.
Mrs Stewart also made a large number of sunflower brooches which are for sale by donation at whole school events.

If any parents would like to assist, we are collecting 15cm squares - knitted or crocheted - in blue, yellow, or a combination of the two.
Donations of yarn, or funds to buy some, are also gratefully received. If you would like your daughter to bring home a ball of yarn for you to use, please ask her to see Mrs Stewart.
