QM STARS is a brand-new monthly newsletter for KS3 students created by Head Monitor Emily (Year IV).
Emily has worked extremely hard to bring together the latest stories for the girls of Years I-III. The first edition is packed full of interesting news, interviews, information about the girls in the school, special awards, and competitions.
The first edition was published and distributed yesterday (Thursday 30th September) and Emily hopes to release a new edition on the last day of every month.
In Emily's words:
"I chose to start a monthly newsletter for KS3 filled with recent news, interviews, excellent work and achievements: ranging from sports competitions, to exam results, to ATL awards, to special mentions from teachers... it's all there!"
As part of the QM STARS newsletter, Emily has also made award boxes that girls in years I-III will get each month for their hard work, achievement, kindness and positive attitude.
Speaking to the girls of Years I-III, Emily adds:
"I want to make the newsletter as interesting as possible, so I would love to hear from you about any upcoming events or competitions you have, any ideas, anything you would like to share, any messages or any pieces of work or artwork (each month) that you are especially proud of. I have lots of ideas for competitions and awards which will be announced in future newsletters. Until then I hope you enjoy reading!"
Senior Tutor Years I-III, Mrs A Debenham is fully supportive of Emily's excellent work:
"I hope you will all love the first edition of our very own newsletter, QM STARS. I’m sure you will agree with me that it is fantastic and I would like to thank Emily Powell, Head Monitor in Year IV, for all of her hard work."
Congratulations Emily, and we look forward to reading more.
