Karen Mitchell Awarded Esteemed Title

QM’s Head of Raquets Karen Mitchell recently attended the Yorkshire Tennis Awards where she was introduced as the new President of Yorkshire Tennis. Karen takes over the role from former President Geoff Newton OBE.

“It is an absolute honour and privilege to be the next President of Yorkshire Tennis and something all my family are delighted with. I have stepped down from my role as Performance Lead in a year when the Ladies and Men's county teams won the County Championship in November 2023; a tremendous achievement to be the best county in Great Britain.”

Karen won a Meritorious Service Award in 2020 for her services to the LTA and tennis, and QM is very blessed to have her overseeing the racquet coaching of our girls.
