Fixture: QM Mavericks B vs Stamford 1
Score: Won 43-13
POM: Tilly (LVI)
Report: A super start by QM Mavericks B, winning the first quarter 10-4 against Stamford 1. There were some excellent interceptions by the defence in the centre third, complemented by some great feeds into the shooting circle. The B team worked hard and was rewarded with a convincing win.
Fixture: QM Mavericks A vs Haxby 3
Score: Won 44-36
POM: Jen (UVI)
Report: The first of two games this week for QM Mavericks A. After a slow start against Haxby 3, the A team soon found their form with some excellent defending and feeds into the circle. Despite Haxby coming back in the last quarter, the As kept their composure to win the game. Fab work!

Fixture: QM Mavericks A vs Millers Lightning
Score: Lost 42-39
POM: Elsa (LVI) and Eve (LVI)
Report: "The second encounter for QM Mavericks A saw them away to Millers Lightning. The A team started slow, trailing 6-9 after the first quarter. With a switch around in centre court, the As pulled it back to lead 19-18 at the half-time break. The classic Mavericks third quarter meant the team went down by four goals. After a valiant attempt in the last quarter, it was Millers who came out on top. Unlucky As!"

Score: 12-4 L vs Sherburn, 4-0 W vs Joseph Rowntree & 10-0 W vs Archie's

Report: There was a lovely atmosphere on the Astro on Thursday evening as we invited some local schools to play against our U15 A&B teams. Some lovely netball was on display with some strong defending and plenty of interceptions, not without a few bits of footwork, however! Big well done to all those who played, including those involved in their first QM netball fixture.
