What are the reasons to choose or not to choose a subject at GCSE? What is the core curriculum like and what optional subjects are available? What is the difference between Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4? Here, Claire Rhodes (Deputy Head Academic) and Claire Nadin (Senior Tutor for Key Stage 4) give some reassuring guidance on the options process.

Of course, the best way to understand what it's like to study GCSEs at QM is to hear from the girls themselves. Listen as four of our Year IV and V girls share their experiences of GCSEs at QM...

"QM is such a celebration of everyone's individuality" ~ Alex (Year IV).
Alex is a Flexi-Boarder and is enjoying studying Latin, Spanish, Geography and Textiles at GCSE, as well as being involved in the sports teams.

"It would be very hard to find a school that supports, guides and helps you as much as QM does" ~ Lucinda (Year IV).
Lucinda is a Day Girl at QM and as well as History, her favourite subject is Music, which she hopes to go on and study at A Level in the QM Sixth Form.

"You get to live and learn in an amazing environment" ~ Hattie (Year IV).
Hattie is a Full Boarder and is really enjoying finding out more about the world around her in her Geography GCSE, she also studies French, Classics and Textiles.

"You can experience so many things at QM that you wouldn't at other schools" ~ Megan (Year IV).
Megan is a Day Girl and her PE and Biology GCSEs are perfect for her love of sports and finding out about how the human body works. She is also studying Spanish, History and Music and is involved in an impressive range of extracurricular activities outside of her academic lessons.
