Outstanding EPQ Results
Four UVI girls are celebrating success after earning outstanding results in their Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
It was As and A*s across the board for Victoria Cheng, Georgina Comerford, Ella Peel and Flavia Riley-Smith who had the responsibility of designing and leading their own projects on a fascinating range of topics, including ethical and sustainable fashion, art and the mind, young adult fiction, and art and politics.
Pursuing the EPQ course has enabled the girls to develop independent learning skills and is worth half an A Level, making it all the more impressive considering that they are studying for three other full A Levels alongside this.
The opportunity to explore subjects which interest them beyond the curriculum in this way is another superb example of how our girls benefit from their QM education. Achieving the EPQ will also provide a differentiating factor when the girls apply for university places. Many thanks must go to EPQ Coordinator, Nicola Onyett, and to the girls’ supervisors, Graham Alcock, Julia Millhouse, Leyla Seeney and Mark Payton who have guided the girls on their road to success.
