Lilli is a Cut Above
Whilst most UVI girls spent Sunday 9 July revelling in the aftermath of Speech Day and the Summer Ball, Lilli Henderson was busy making the weekend even more memorable by having 52cm of her hair cut off, all in the name of charity. Lilli, who previously had very long blonde locks, decided to wait until the day after Speech Day to make her generous act in support of Maggie’s. Maggie’s offers free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends, and through her fundraising Lilli raised £1,400 for the charity. She donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust that provides wigs and hair pieces for children who suffer hair loss due to cancer treatment. Lilli told us: “Over 52cm of hair came off which was hard to measure because no one had a ruler long enough!” Well done Lilli!
